Many whacks. And if the tub is not covered with something the flying enamel will be like knife edged shrapnel and can be very hazardous. : I've read the instructions for breaking up an old iron tub. Before embarking on such an adventure, I want to know if this is a LOUD process. Should ear protection be worn??? How MUCH brute strength will this take - a couple whacks or repeated beatings? : Thanks!
