|In response to Re: Sewage Ejector and Check Valve(s) location|
: I'm trying to quiet a banging check valve in a basement sewage ejector system. The check valve is located 6 feet below the exit plumbing. I gather that relocating the check valve to the height of the exit plumbing, the bang should reduce or go away. Will it work to install an additional check valve at the higher location instead of relocating the existing check valve?
Bill; replace it with a top of the line valve, I had a $6 one in mine for a time, drove us crazy, finally replaced it with a top brand $13, and i can hardly hear it when it shuts off.
