In response to Re: lennox complete heat boiler
I had the unit installed just over five years ago and it has now failed. Firstly the blower bearings seized, then the igniter packed it in. This cost me $1200.00. A week later the blower failed again and it was replaced. It failed again a week after that and another technician told me that the tank was leaking and moisture was getting into the bearings and igniter. Lennox replaced the tank (another $500.00 charge) and this time installed a pressure tank. Everything is fine now, except I am out of pocket $1700.00!

I read my original owner's manual and it clearly states that a pressure tank is required on a closed system to prevent boiler damage. I do not know why this tank was not installed from the start. I am asking Lennox and my local dealer the same question.
