|In response to Re: adding a tub to a half bath|
: You have to open the walls to see how the plumbing is installed before we can answer either of your questions.
: : iwant to add a tub to my half bath where a sink and counter are now. Can i use the existing sink drain and move it to the floor. it is in a slab. the toilet is facing the sink wall now.
: : i also want to move the sink to beside the toilet so what would i have to do to drain and vent the sink in the new position.
You can tie into the lavatory drain pipe but it needs to be done below the slab. A tub p-trap fits below the floor. Your new lavatory will need to be tied into a vertical vent pipe which may currently be there venting the toilet. But if your jurisdiction allows wet venting then the toilet may be vented by the existing lavatory vent requiring you to open the wall and floor in the new location.LonnythePlumber
