|In response to Re: dishwasher|
: You would have to tell us how it happened, since if the dishwasher were connected properly water from the disposer would not drain into the dishwasher, and in the second place, the water should have drained from the disposer as the dishwasher pumped it out, so there should not have been anything that could back up into the dishwasher.
: I just purchased this house. I went to do my first load of dishes. When the dishes went through rinse cycle. The water and waste from the garbage disposal rinsed out all over the dishes. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem?
: : Thanks, Dirty Dish's
Fasten your dishwasher drain hose up high in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. If the hose just runs down then the water from the sink runs into the dishwasher. The Uniform Plumbing Code by IAPMO requires an air gap fitting on top of the sink. My jurisdiction has amended this out and only requires the hose to be secured up as close to the floor level rim as possible. LonnythePlumber
