|In response to Re: Removing a tub drain|
: I'm trying to remember how to remove a tub drain on a jacuzzi tub for cleaning. It's the type where you pull it up and twist to lock it up and vice-versa to let it down. Earlier, the builder managed to remove the drain/stopper w/ some channel locks by twisting something on the stopper. I think he let it go down and then used the channel locks to somehow twist the thing out at which point we found a screw blocking the drain. I can't remember how he did it though and don't wan to mess up the tub drain? Any suggestions?
Hold the large stopper part of the drain with channel locks. Use another pair to loosen the nut or knob on the top. The screw is under that.
