In response to Re: Shower Arm Flange
: I have assembled a new shower arm & flange in my bathroom. The instructions from the manufacturer do not explain anything about securing/sealing it to the wall. I now have a flange that is just sitting on the shower arm. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should secure/seal the flange to the wall? The wall is painted green board.

I disagree with hj saying your painted bathroom walls will only last two months. We have had painted gypsum (sheetrock) for decades all over the world. Shower arms have been roughed in above the shower walls for the last decade.
You can remove the shower arm and escutcheon, bend the holding clips on the escutcheon in and reinstall the escutcheon on the wall outlet portion of the arm. Do not push it over the bend. You can also use a set screw escutcheon. LonnythePlumber
