Flexible PVC to Rigid?

I have 1 1/2 inch flexible pvc in a pond environment. I want to add a UV sterilizer (see url http://www.aquaultraviolet.com/instructions/uvunits.html) but I want to use 2" rigid pvc in and out of the new unit. Is is possible to join flexible pvc to rigid and then back again? Thanks!
