That is just a little thicker than the standard 1 1/4" material. Fabricators have setups to cut and polish it to size.
: I have some Marble from my father's house, built in the 1890's. I am now building a house, and whould like info on how and where to get the Marble cut. The marble is quite thick, appx 1 1/2" and in various sheet sizes up to 4' by 5'. I have been told that the Marble can be split in thickness to yield more usable material, but where and how is this done?
