The original Maytag Dishwasher discharge hose leaked after only five years. The Maytag hose is made from corregated hard plastic hose with rubber connectors fused on each end.
The leak occured in a corregation near the pump outlet. Needless to say it made a big mess. I don't want to replace the hose with another Maytag hose. I want to use the heavy rubber hoses, because I think they are less likely to leak.
Although the corregated hose is 5/8", the pump outlet end seems to measure out at 3/4". The other end that attaches to the garbage disposer is a standard 7/8".
I can't find a 3/4" rubber dishwasher hose at the local hardware and appliance parts stores. I can buy an adaptor for the disposer end that would convert the disposer end from 3/4" to 7/8".
Do you know where I can get a 3/4" dishwasher hose? Can I use 3/4" EPDM heater hose by Anderson-Barrows?
