It is never done intentionally because the sudden hot water can crack the toilet bowl or the tank. If the water stays hot then it is piped wrong, and the sink and tub may also have been but they crossed the supply pipes to correct them. If it starts hot and then cools down, then the water is being heated in the pipe and you have to run it out before the cooler water can arrive.
: It seems like the water to the toilet in my new house is hot water. House is in Florida. Is this a mistake or something that is done in high humidity areas? Anybody ever heard of this?
