|In response to Re: Refigerator water dispenser|
There is only one inlet to the refrigerator, but it has two solenoids one for the IM and one for the dispenser. If you remove the wire socket from both valves and then then interchange them, you should get water into the icemaker when you push the dispenser button. If not then the wiring is bad. If it does work then the valve is bad and needs to be replaced.
: My water dispenser on my GE side-by-side refigerator has stopped working. The ice maker is working fine so I know the water is getting into the refigerator. I was told there is a valve that might be plugged up - is it something I can replace or do I need to call the appliance repair person?
