|In response to Re: pressure relief drain?|
No line that is carrying potable water can be directly connected to a drain line. And the only devices which would permit the connection would create an illegal restriction and also cause a flood if the septic tank plugged up.
: We have a finished basement with a well pressure tank and a hot water tank. Both tanks have the required "relief" valves. My question is, can they be drained directly into the 3" waste line to the septic tank? The way they are terminated now (12" above floor) if they ever "BLEW" there would be a lot of water going all over the floor, even with a floor drain close by.Could we just pipe these to the drain line, and eliminate any flooding concerns? thanks for any reply. Don
