|In response to Re: Installing 60" tub in 60" space -- and from vertical to horizontal?|
There are two ways, depending on the weight of the tub and how much help you have. The easier way is to have the tub on its front apron and then slide it partway between the joists at one end, rotate it square into the opening and then roll it down into position. The other way is to stand it up in the space and then lower it into position, with the help of at least one other person.
: Thank you so much. Tell me, is there some trick to getting the tub from a vertical position to a horizontal position? The bathroom isn't big enough to rotate the tub horizontally without taking all the sheetrock off. I'm probably going to have to bring it in vertically through the door.
