: My tub installer got smudges of silicone caulk all over the tub. Is there any way to remove it other than with a razor blade? It is a brand new cast iron tub and I am afraid I will scratch it with a razor blade. Also, it is so thin it is impossible to scrape off. It just looks like there are dirty places all over my new tub.

I've gone with rubbing and the razor blade before.
