I own a summer camp and it has a rather larger concrete shower stall. It was painted dark green by the camp's former owner. I would like to repaint it a lighter color. What treatments/steps should I take to prepare it? What kind of paint should I use for a primer? For the finished coat? Should I add sand in the portion of paint I'll use to paint the floor (to prevent someone from slipping)? Or should I buy a special textured paint for this purpose?
The water source is well water, heavily laden with iron. The shower will be used only during summer months. Thanks for any help you can give.
