IF it is really an "S" trap, then a lot of things can cause the sink not to drain, most of them dealing with a plug or partial plug somewhere else in the system. : The sink in our bathroom won't drain. I checked the pipes, looked into the "S" trap to check for blockage(there was no obstruction). The pipes are PVC and i think the landlord added the sink not too long ago. But when you let the water run, it does not go down. I have to takes the pipes apart and drain the water into a bucket. Any idea what is happening?
