Very bad idea.
: When I replaced my vanity with on that had a repositioned sink, the drain pipe no longer matches. The old vanity required the main drain pipe to curve 90 degrees left, now it needs to curve 90 degrees right. Is it ok to attach a U shaped fitting and have that connect to the trap? This would be easier since I have very little room to cut the original PVC. In the end the water will leave the sink through the j-trap vertically then a u curve horizontally. Will this cause clogging headaches? Probably confusing, but any comment would be appreciated.
