Why not do it the easy way and break the flange off and then install a new one. If you do not want to go the lead/oakum route, you can get one with 4 bolts that clamps to the cast iron riser. : I have an old cast iron soil pipe with a broken flange. I'm thinking the best route to go would be to cut the cast iron soil pipe in the basement about a foot below the floor and install a new pvc section with a pvc flange. What should I use to cut the cast iron soil pipe? Should I rent a chain cutter or can I get through it with a sawzall or something? : Thanks
