You can cut the galvanized pipe below and lift up the shower.
It can be reconnected using a coupling with a rubber seal.
If you were replacing the shower, then you could cut a square out around the drain and lift it off.
You would still be cutting the pipe below and using a coupling.
: Pipes froze at my cottage last winter. I need to get the shower out to repair the broken shower pipes in the wall. Can't find anything to disconnect in the shower drain. Ideas??
