|In response to Re: Dirty Water|
: I recently moved into a house that had a bathroom remodled. It has a large jacuzzi tub. When I turn on the cold water alone, the water is crystal clear. When I turn on the hot water alone, the water is brown and pebbles and dirt come out. It is definitely not rust and I don't think it is the water heater since it doesn't happen on any other faucets. Can anyone out there help me? Note: I already pulled out marble and screws from a blocked shower drain. Whomever did the work was a pig!
Since you're convinced as to what the cause isn't, what do you think it is?
I'd look at the plumbing for any galvanized pipe and/or fittings, they cause rust to form and the heater. Especially if you have no water treatment equipment (softener etc.) and the heater is a tank type and hasn't been drained and flushed.
