The real problem is not the moisture, it is the fact that anyone working on the electric panel will be dangerously close to a source of grounding, namely the sink and its faucet. Move the sink at least 3 feet from the box, or move the box. : I am putting in a bathroom in a previously finished basement. However, I have a quandry; my electrical service (60 amp fusebox) is on the wall directly above where my proposed bathroom sink is to be located. : Can I construct a moisture resistant enclosure to cover the service panel, or do I have to have an electrician move the service to outside of the proposed location? What does code dictate? I've only budegeted my project for the actual bathroom; I've gotten quotes ranging from $1000-$2000 to move and/or upgrade the service. : Dave K
