The final test is usually done with the water turned on so that the operation of the plumbing fixtures can be verified. In that case, the plumbing water system is being tested for leaks. The test consists of seeing if there is water leaking onto the floor or coming out of the walls.
: Can anyone advise if the plumbing code (UPC or IPC) require that new construction residential water piping be pressure tested prior to final turnover --- is this also frequently a municipal requirement? Thanks Redman
