I am installing a new tub/shower with wall surround. What is the best way to figure out how far the nipple should extend through the acrylic wall so it is flush to the wall but not bending it and is there a way to keep the wall from being pushed away from the spout? It seems like there should be a large plate on the backside of the wall like there is with the faucet. Also, Is there a way to plan so the spout does not end up 20 degrees short of down when completely tightened? If this happens do I simply back it off 340 degrees and hope it isn't too loose or would I have to resolder the nipple in a different position? Thanks in advance.
