We have a hot water faucet that connects to the hose of our clothes washer that needs to be replaced. It is a bronze faucet on copper pipe. The base of the faucet is flush with the bottom of the mounting box located between two studs. There is no access to the pipe below. The faucet has been on this pipe for 15 years and seems to be very securely fastened.
My question is: How do I remove/replace this faucet without doing damage to the pipe to which it is attached, when I cannot access the pipe to hold it from twisting?
Thanks for your advice.
