I'm reminded of a problem my father had years ago with a drain pipe that did not have the proper slope and would periodically clog with sediment. Rather than investing in expensive equipment, he just had a professional clear the drain once every 2 or 3 years BEFORE it was plugged to the point of an emergency. The "real" rooter equipment is prohibitively expensive for an individual to own. Find a company that will do the job at a reasonable price and stick with them.
