CPVC and PEX would be the two materials other than copper, but they both have the shortcoming of being a smaller physical capacity than the same size copper. The biggest cost of a repiping is the demolition and repair to the walls, and that is almost the same with any of the materials you would use.. : : The reason I was thinking of using CPVC is that #1 I cannot afford copper #2 I have no idea how to work copper. What other materials are approved for water intake?
