I have a 4" cast iron pipe in the basement floor with a trap under the concrete. I also have a Sterling OC-SS-48 shower base which takes a standard drain openning of 3 5/16" dia. The concrete floor is all arround the 4" cast iron pipe stub which is sticking out about 12" from the floor.
I know that I have to cut this pipe, the question is should I have to chip away the concrete to fit the fittings for the shower base drain and if so what should I do? Any help will be appriciated!!
