No, but the selector unit may be worn to the point that it is allowing cold water, which has a little more pressure than the hot, to flow even when you have it set for hot. Replace the control stem unit.
: I have a problem with my Mixet shower valves. They're single handle, with one rear dial to control temperature and one front dial to open the water up. However, even in the position where they should be "hottest", the water is only luke warm. Is there some kind of internal adjustment to make to allow more (i.e. MAX) hot water through? How do I get at it and adjust it?
