aqualine shower

Hi We have got an Aqualine shower that apears to be just the knob to turn on the water with a hose conected coming out for the shower. The shower is approx 9 years old and is working well. However we seem to have a leak. A plumber has been out and thinks it only needs a conector that comes from the shower out to the hose. I dont know if this makes any sense but if you could let me know were I could get parts from I would be grateful. Many thanks Awaiting your reply B Hawkes
