tap not running

Hi, I iarrived home the other day to find that for no apparent reaon my hot water tap in the kitchen had stopped running. If you turn it on full a little bit of watr dribbles out but not a lot. It is a single storey flat, with a ho water heater. The bathroon hot water works fine. I can feel the pipe running up to the kitchn tap is hot also. The cold tap runs fine but just the hot tap is not. I cannot see any leak anywhere< but have no idea what could have caused it as it worked fine the da beofre> Do you have any idea wht this could be?
