My basement has a sump basin as part of the drainage system around the foundation. I've never had more than an inch of water accumulate in the basin, but I intend to install a sump pump nonetheless as I finish the basement. My real concern is having that stagnant water down there, even though it is not much. My sump basin is not a sealed, vented type and has a lid with a large opening in the top. I would like to vent it somehow. Have you ever heard of replacement tops or ways to seal this so it can be vented? Any other ideas? Thanks, Kevin |
