The fill valve replacement should be about $12.00 plus labor. A new good toilet will be much more and is not necessary unless you are tired of looking at the old one. : Our 30+ year old toilet has been ok until a recent problem that could be the fill valve needing replacement and I wondered if it would be more cost effective to replace instead of repair. Could you give me an estimate of what it will cost to hire a plumber to do the work and should we buy the toilet or go with his recommendation? Thank you. Chris
