Not likely since I have had the problem with drains that were cemented into the floor during construction. The roots are very persistent.

: Do you think that sealing the toilet flange to the concrete floor would prevent the roots from entering the drain?

: I've been thinking that after I flood the area with root killer and do a good clean-up that sealing the flange to the concrete would work.
Just not sure what to seal with. Would it have to be flexible, like a silicone or can it be hard like epoxy?
