hj - toilet clogged with roots - another question

hj,

Do you think that sealing the toilet flange to the concrete floor would prevent the roots from entering the drain?

I've been thinking that after I flood the area with root killer and do a good clean-up that sealing the flange to the concrete would work. Just not sure what to seal with. Would it have to be flexible, like a silicone or can it be hard like epoxy?

What do you think?
