Aw Hell Buddy...get a good heavy hammer and knock it in the middle untill it cracks and breaks enough to pull off with plyers......we do it everyday....the hammer will not damage the threads for the new pvc cap. I have an older home with galvonized drain pipes. The clean out cap in the basement is sealed tight. I tried to heat up the pipe and twist off the cap, but nothing happened. How can I get the cap off, and replace it with a PVC cap?
