: I have an older home with galvonized drain pipes. The clean out cap in the basement is sealed tight. I tried to heat up the pipe and twist off the cap, but nothing happened. How can I get the cap off, and replace it with a PVC cap? Have you tried a monster pipe wrench with a cheater bar? This worked for me...I also threw in some wd40...good luck |
