Bathroom Supply Lines

I'm installing a new bathroom in my basement and wanted to know if you need to run "riser's" to the toilet supply and the shower stall faucet fixture to control any pipe hammering. I will be running 1/2in copper as the supply lines. Also, do I need to install shut off valves for a shower faucet in the same way as you typically would for a toilet or sink supply? ( If so, I assume they are behind the drywall).
