|In response to Re: Wiring for Century Motor Pump for Jetted Hot Tub Bathtub|
The air switch gives you a safe way to turn the pump on or off from the hot tub. As far as the wiring is concerned, we do not know what the various wires are used for, so we cannot tell you what the proper connections are.
: I have a Century 1081 Pump for a Jetted Bathtub. I have the manual, which shows following wiring diagram: yellow = 1 & 6; black = 4; two blues =5; and 2 & 3 not used if use air switch. Without air switch, white = 6. My question is that the diagram also shows white and red which my pump doesn't have colored wiring for (but diagram shows). Probably an easy question, but is it "safe" or not advisable to do the wiring without these and/or what do I need to do to 'ensure' wired correctly (process or parts)? Also, can anyone recommend benefits of usages of and/or a good place for getting air switches for these? Appreciate 'any' advice or experience anyone can offer. Regards, DVD
