: I need to replace an older toilet and have a 14 inch rough-in. Can you use a 12 inch rough-in toilet and just have it 2 inches further from the wall? I have been looking at the Drake. If not what are my best options? Thanks

That would work fine.
Most 14" toilets are really, 12" bowls with tanks that either set back farther or are deeper toward the wall.

Either way, the end of the bowl will be out a ways.
You can always add wall storage to conceal the distance between the tank and wall.

There are a few toiets, like the Toto Vespin and Carlyle that use a trap fitting to slide the bowl back closer to the wall.
