|In response to Re: how to vent mud-sink in front of a window - HELP MEEeeee....|
: i am expanding my laundry room and would like to install a mud-sink on an exterior wall ajacent to the interior wall with the plumbing for the washing machine. i can get the water to the sink, no problem. my question is how to vent the drain. the existing drain runs the down the center of the floor to the end wall where WM is. Can i tap into this drain under the floor and assume the vent for the WM will do the job or am i stuck? i assume i do not need to run a drain horizontal in the wall becaus it would have to penetrate the load-bearing jack studs supporting the window... see the referred to pic on my webspace
sounds like a plan then. when i opened the floor and found out i didn't have enough room on the base plate to even put the drain int the wall, i figured that was my only choice. i will send the drain through the floor with the vent check valve mounted as high as possible beneath or behind the sink.
thanks to all for your wonderful advice!!!
i will most definitly use this site again.
