Can this be stong enough to shake the pipes thru out the three floors???: The most common reason for that is a bad toilet fill valve coupled with a leaking tank ball or flapper. When the water leaks out the bad fill valve operates to add water to the tank and can vibrate while doing it.
: : Recently, we have been getting a loud vibration in the cold water pipes. The type of noise sounds like a viberating pager on a wood table, but louder. it is intermitant , but increasing in frequency of occurance. Lasting for about 5 minutes to half an hour then stopping. I am on the 3rd floor of a condo unit. the residents below on the first and second floor can also feel and hear the vibration in the pipes. What is going on? this is loud enough to be anoying the neighbors
