Pissed, I understand your anger about paying for travel time but help me out. 1) Why do lawyers have minimum billing increments? Why do I pay for 20 minutes ($70) when the phone call last 1 minute? 2) Why does it cost 1 hour ($200) to prepare something for shipping (not copies but orginal documentation I supplied to my lawyer)? Keep in mind the lawyer's assistant is doing this highly skilled task! At least with plumbers, you get a realist quote. Just ask next time. Also congraduations on being one of the few people who manage to start a flame on this forum. You must be a lawyer. : I recently had a plumber/thief come roto-root my sewer pipe. He took 1 hour and charged me $175. If you want $175/hr, you damn well better be operating on my heart or brain. : I'm an attorney, from now on, any plumber, or any other contractor rip-off artist, will be paying double my going rate.
