My experience has been that the specialized companies have more equipment so they have more means of locating the leak. The plumbing companies usually have an electronic stethescope to try to locate the leak. : Hi! : The water supply line to our house is leaking around 500 gallons a day, with no obvious external indicators. : We have verified the leak is not in the house or sprinkler system by turning off the shut-off valves and rechecking the leak indicator (still spinning.) : Is there a difference price/quality-wise between a plumber who advertises leak detection services, and a specialized leak detection company. : Any recommended companies?
