If you are using PVC and not CPVC, then you are making a major mistake. PVC should not be used inside a building and never for hot water piping. In any case the method is the same. Use a male adapter into a female copper fitting. : What is the proper method for joining copper to pvc? I am changing the plumbing in my house from copper to pvc, but I am not sure of the correct way to change the copper to pvc to get started.
