I haven't contacted the plumber. This shower repair is a short-term solution until we are ready to remodel. I chose the most inexpensive faucet. It has one handle that is supposed to be the hottest when you crank it all the way counterclockwise. My husband thinks there might be a set-screw on the handle shaft that has been mis-set. Since it is tiled in, I may have to live with it. I will take the handle apart when my Dad is here to help put it back together.
This problem does nnot stem from your hotwater heater or the lack of circulation. If that was the problem, your sink furthest from the tank would be in trouble too.
