I am not sure if bursting is economically feasible for a pipe that short, but in most situations, (except for one I had this week), the Orangeburg pipe just goes to the area of your property line. The city's clay pipe normally terminates at that point and is usually not a problem. : My family has a 1955 home with Orangeburg pipe (4 inch?) to the public sewer main. As the Orangeburg is clogging every couple of years it's suspected it's collapsing.
