: i'm currently using plastic barbed fittings with standard hose clamps on a solar pool heating system to go from a female threaded PVC fitting to black poly tubing. i have problems getting a good seal on the barbed fitting. i have tried different brands of the barbed fittings and clamps with no luck. i am now thinking of using a compression type fitting. does anybody have experience and/or luck with such fittings? any ideas are welcome. also, any ideas on whether a brass barbed fitting would work any better than plastic? : thanks, If you have the right tubing and fitting for it, you are doing something wrong if you have leaks. What rating tubing, what fittings? Ive used this material for years without leaks. How do you get the fitting into the tubing? |
