I am renovating my downstairs bathroom and plan on moving the closet flange for the toilet. The existing waste pipe is 3" Copper which I will be cutting to move the flange. I would like to connect the new flange with 3" PVC and that to the exisiting 3" copper.
So my question is, what is the best way to do this? I was planning on using one of those flexible rubber couplers with the clamps on either end but wanted to make sure this was the best method to avoid leaks.
Another alternative I was thinking was connecting the PVC directly to the copper via a PVC union and PVC cement. I am figuring the clamp would be best bet but will leave that advice to the experts.
