I would suspect the leak is from a defective bowl rather than the tank, especially since the same thing happened with the second tank also. If you furnished the toilet, the plumber has no responsibility, and would have been justified in charging you for all four trips.

: Hi, friends. I am concerned that a leak problem in a new toilet will go on forever or cost me a bundle. Two weeks ago a plumber installed an American Standard Pedestal sink and matching toilet, that I had purchased-- the Cadet recommended on this website, 2798. The tank (4112.016) slow leaks at the preinstalled mounting bolt on the left side only. We have replaced the tank once, thinking it was defective, but the new one leaks. The plumber re-charged me on the fourth visit and I don't know where my responsibility and his are, and also how to resolve this problem. Does this sound like an installation or product problem? Thanks for any help you can give me.
